Weldon Spring (63304)

Weldon Spring is an extended suburb of St. Louis, Missouri with approximately 5,500 residents located in southeast portion of St. Charles County. Weldon Spring is a low-density residential community with a small town look and feel; it is surrounded by open pastures and fields, giving way to rolling fields and forests as you head toward the Missouri River. The City prides itself on having maintained its rustic and rural character. The City’s goal is to foster a safe, comfortable and enjoyable community in which to live, raise a family, retire and enjoy life to the fullest!

A frontiersman from North Carolina named John Weldon first settled Weldon Spring in 1790. He constructed a log home on high ground overlooking a spring (hence the name Weldon Spring). The spring is still visible, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Highway 94 and I-64. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.3 square miles (21 km2), of which, 7.9 square miles (20 km2) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) of it (5.16%) is water.
